Online sales which require international shipping must be processed in a specific manner as our online shop is automated for UK deliveries only:
- purchase your item and select the ‘local pickup’ option (i.e. do not enter your own delivery address).
- email us at firstname.lastname@example.org/charlottecornish with your online order number, delivery address and telephone number and we will respond with an individually tailored price for shipping minus the VAT deduction (if appropriate). Small parcels under 2kg will cost no more than £35 to ship.
- we will then email you a personalised online invoice for the balance which can be paid via a link to our online shop. Alternatively, if you prefer you can make a payment over the phone – 00 44 1463 729512.
- Please note that international customers are responsible for any local import tax and import duty.
We deliver throughout the UK using Royal Mail ‘Standard’ 1st Class and 2nd Class, Royal Mail ‘Signed For’, Parcelforce 48 (tracked and signed) or a courier service.
For urgent items we offer the option of Royal Mail ‘Special Delivery’ (next day delivery service, tracked and signed).

Delivery options can be selected at checkout. We have worked hard to keep these charges as low as possible and we do not make any profit from our packaging and postage service.
UK Delivery Times
We aim to despatch your order within two working days. Those sent by Guaranteed Next Day Delivery should arrive the next working day and those by Royal Mail First Class Parcel, Parcelforce 48 or by courier service should arrive within two days of despatch. Unfortunately, we are unable to absolutely guarantee a delivery date as this is outwith our control. If your order arrives at a time when you are not available to receive it, please contact the delivery company directly and they will re-arrange delivery at a convenient time.
With over twenty years experience, we are able to expertly pack your order using eco-friendly packaging and recycled materials whenever possible (including the re-use of previously used materials). Almost all of our packaging is paper-based and can be reused or recycled.
Returns within the UK
If you have changed your mind, or the artwork is unsuitable, and you wish to cancel, please keep the item and all the packaging and contact us immediately by email at email@example.com quoting your order number. Please do not return artworks to the gallery without contacting us first.
The UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, 2014, applying to online orders within the UK, give a legal right of 14 calendar days, from the day after you receive your goods, for you to cancel your order for whatever reason (with the exception of earrings which are non-returnable). Once cancelled you have a further 14 days to send the goods back to the gallery for a full refund (including outward delivery costs). You will need to return the artwork to the Castle Gallery in the same condition it was sent and you will have to pay for the return delivery. We recommend using a signed, tracked and insured service for your peace of mind as we cannot provide refunds on items lost in transit. We reserve the right to make deductions for any artworks that arrive back in the gallery not in the same condition as sent.
If you decide to cancel your order before it is despatched, please contact us immediately to enable us to cancel the order on our system.
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
Damages and Issues
Please inspect your artwork upon receipt and contact us within 3 days if there is a problem so that we can evaluate the issue and put it right. If, in the unlikely event, the artwork is damaged or faulty or you receive the wrong item, the Castle Gallery will pay for return delivery and arrange for a replacement or full refund (including outward delivery costs).
Click and collect customers have the same rights as online customers and it is advised to inspect your artwork upon collection.
We will notify you once we have received and inspected your returned artwork and let you know when a refund has been approved. If approved, you will be automatically refunded by your original payment method. We aim to pay refunds as soon as possible, and in any event, within 14 days of receiving returned items. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process the refund.
We endeavour to photograph all artworks as accurately as possible but please be aware that they may look slightly different depending on light conditions and your screen display. All measurements are in centimetres – height x width x depth or diameter. Please note that all artworks are individually handmade and may have slight variations which are indicative of the handmade process.
All our prints are original, handmade, limited edition prints and are sold unframed (with the exception of a few which are mounted or framed, as stated in the description). They are titled, numbered and signed in pencil by the artist (with the exception of a few from the estate of the late Karolina Larusdottir). We do not sell reproduction or giclee prints.
